About DUT
With over 33,000 students, the Durban University of Technology (DUT) is KwaZulu-Natal's (KZN) best university. It is located in the beautiful cities of Durban (PMB) and Pietermaritzburg. As a university of technology, it places a strong priority on the caliber of instruction and learning by mandating that all of its faculty members possess the most advanced degrees.
In April 2002, the Durban University of Technology was created by the merger of the ML Sultan and Technikon Natal technikons. It was originally called the Durban Institute of Technology before changing its name to the Durban University of Technology, just like the other technical universities.
