About TUT
Tshwane University of Technology was established in 2004 by the merger of three technical institutes. Their merger aimed to make amends for past wrongs by providing all of their students with access to our communities and an academic home. They have swiftly grown to become the biggest contact university in South Africa, with seven schools that offer courses in science, engineering and technology, business and administration, education, the humanities, and the arts. TUT is ranked among the top 1000 universities worldwide, and its engineering programs are among the top 300, according to Times Higher Education (THE). Additionally, THE ranks us seventh in South Africa.
