With more than 33,000 students, the Durban Institute of Technology (DUT) is the best university in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). It is located in the charming cities of Durban (PMB) and Pietermaritzburg. Being a university of technology, it places a great importance on the calibre of teaching and learning, hence all of its faculty members must be well qualified.
Technikon Natal Technikons and ML Sultan merged to form the Durban University of Technology in April 2002. It was once known as the Durban Institute of Technology before changing its name to the Durban University of Technology, just like the other technical universities.
