How to Apply at TUT for 2024 Late Applications

About TUT

Tshwane University of Technology was formed in 2004 following the merger of three technikons. Their merger aimed at redressing the inequalities of the past by providing access to all our communities and an academic home for all their students. In that short time, they have grown into the largest contact University in South Africa, with seven faculties offering programmes in science, engineering and technology, business and management, education, humanities and the arts. TUT have been ranked by Times Higher Education (THE) in 2018 as one of the top 1000 universities globally and their programmes in engineering in the top 300. THE has also ranked us eighth in South Africa. In 2017, University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) ranked it as the number one University of Technology in Africa.

TUT 2024 Late Applications Dates

According to the TUT 2024 academic calendar, the Late application process for programmes where there is still space will run from 20 - 27 January 2024. Below is a list of Higher Certificate Courses most likely to have space for the 2024 late application process

Documents Required 

Please note A non-refundable fee of R240 for application, and certified copies of your identity document, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents must accompany the application

How to Apply at TUT for 2024 late Applications

Step 1: Visit the official Website of the Tshwane University of Technology and click on the "Apply Now" button

Step 2: On the Comprehensive Web Application Process please indicate whether if you have a student number or not. If you already have a student number follow this link for guidance on how to do a re-admission

Step 3:  Fill in your personal details and follow the instructions to complete your application. Be sure to check if everything you've entered is correct.

Important to Note

  • Recently certified (certification may not be not older than one year) copies of your original identity document and (National) Senior Certificate and/or highest academic results, as well as the administration fee, must reach TUT before the specified closing dates.​​
  • Late applications will be considered only if there is space available in the programmes concerned. TUT can accommodate only a limited number of students per programme.​
